Marketing Events Manager

The Marketing Events Manager is responsible for spearheading and executing the Armature Works event marketing strategy, including but not limited to: concepting new and fun events to drive traffic to property, managing the monthly event calendar, planning and attending Armature Works events, maintaining pre- and post-event communication and managing event customer service. To be successful in this role you will need to be creative and dedicated to continually testing, measuring, learning, and evolving your events programs. Your objective is to develop an event calendar which drives traffic to property all while staying within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for event marketing and proven track record of organizing large- to small-scale events from concept to execution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Create an event schedule that includes innovative ideas for our monthly, quarterly, annually and marquee events
  • Create and communicate the event run of show for all major events with operations and applicable team members
  • Work with Director of Marketing and CMO to fulfill event sponsorship obligations
  • Work with executive team to identify and implement new events to keep Armatures Works’ calendar fresh and innovative
  • Maintain an annual calendar of all Armature Works events, alongside other venue events that are held throughout the year
  • Provide recommendations on event best practices, dates, pricing, and marketing
  • Manage all events from development to execution
  • Work with in-house designer to ensure event display accurately represents the Armature Works brand
  • Manage third party vendors and work with internal marketing team and operations to execute all events
  • Coordinate with Social Media Manager & Digital Marketing Manager for event marketing support
  • Negotiate and execute contracts for large- and small-scale events
  • Establish and grow target market share
  • Provide and lead all third-party content development and updating for events
  • Work closely with vendors to strategize new and emerging event ideas and property activations

REQUIREMENTS & EDUCATION

  • Currently only accepting local candidates, as this is an in-house position
  • Requires a BA/BS degree in Event Planning, Marketing, or related field
  • Professional, 5+ years event experience
  • Experience in corporate conference planning, trade show planning, or similar event planning
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex and highly visible projects at the executive level
  • Strong communications skills – written and oral
  • Forward-thinking, well organized, and detail oriented
  • Highly organized with an ability to manage resources, budgets, and onsite personnel
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Capable of standing comfortably for up to eight hours a day, working long hours and weekends
  • Familiarity with Eventbrite
  • Move easily between generating big, creative ideas, and driving ongoing process improvement
