This season The Florida Orchestra (TFO) has re-energized its Happy Hour series with a new venue to create an engaging and innovative experience. The casual concerts will be FREE on Wednesdays at Armature Works, Tampa’s historic, fully restored mixed-use building.
The series of three concerts, sponsored by Smith & Associates Real Estate, opens with Two to Tango, with Stuart Malina conducting dance music ranging from waltz to tango on Nov. 28. All concerts will start at 6:30 pm and guests can arrive early to indulge in the endless food and beverage options for purchase at Heights Public Market. No tickets are required for the free one-hour concerts, which feature the premier and largest orchestra in the state performing classical music’s greatest hits in the open-aired Courtyard and Gathering event space. Music will be heard all throughout the building and a meet-and-greet with TFO musicians follows each performance.
This is the third season for TFO’s Happy Hour series, created as a new way to experience – and get to know – the orchestra in a casual atmosphere. TFO regularly has performances at the Straz Center, Tampa Bay Times Masterworks and Raymond James Pops concerts. Armature Works allows TFO to introduce classical music to a new audience while creating a great cultural experience for guests.
Future Concert Dates:
Wednesday, January 9th – American Jazz
Wednesday, March 13th – The Romance of France
